Moritz Steicher

PhD student

Moritz Streicher received his master’s degree in polymer science from the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg and is currently a PhD student in Dr. Céline Calvino’s research group situated at the Freiburg Center for Interactive Materials and Bioinspired Technologies at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg, Germany.
In Moritz’s project funded by the livMatS Cluster of Excellence he explores photo-reversible light-induced chemistries for the synthesis of sustainable polymers targeting recyclable materials for the vision of a closed-loop cyclic economy. His research focuses on the synthesis, characterization and optimization of photochemical motives for light-induced reversible covalent coupling and decoupling reactions ultimately aiming at efficient wavelength-guided polymerizations and depolymerizations of photoresponsive materials.
