Mrunal Karle

PhD student

Mrunal Karle comes from India. She received her master degree in Analytical Chemistry from New Arts, Commerce and Science College Parner, affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, India. After her Master, she pursued her work at the same department as a teaching assistant and a year later started her research on injectable hydrogels for biomedical applications at Polymer Science and Engineering Division, CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory. In June 2022, she joined the Calvino research group as a PhD student at the Albert-Ludwigs- University Freiburg, Germany. Mrunal’s current research focuses on the development of a new class of adaptive materials that could be reversibly polymerized and depolymerized with dual stimulation of light and temperature. This research is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung (BWS) through the “Internationale Spitzenforschung” program.
